My Business Structure
The first step to marketing my business is to set up accounts on various platforms. Luckily, this is a step that I have already previously completed. I have active Instagram, Facebook, Youtube, Twitch, and Twitter accounts for my business. These accounts will provide the grounding for all of my marketing strategies.
I plan to grow my business and consumer base using the Circular Model for Content Marketing Success (Circular Model for Content Marketing Success, n.d.). This model outlines that content is first created, then engaged by users, and these users then provide insight to inform future creations. This is a circular model, and I will adapt this for my own purposes with the following steps:
Firstly, I will be creating content on Twitch by live-streaming the process of my modelling, regardless of the origination (Commission, Personal, or Professional). Secondly, I will edit the produced content to make on-demand video content (VODs), posting these videos to both my Youtube Channel and Social Media Channels. Finally, I will use advertising services and the algorithms of the various platforms to bring in new clients, fans and businesses; who will then engage with my content. The feedback and clients created from this engagement create a loop of revenue constantly feeding back into my business in the form of Professional Business tasks and Client commissions content. In addition, I will complete personal projects when I do not have active commissions or professional assignments so that I don’t run out of content.Â
The hope is that, in time, more and more users will come across my content, be it from targeted ads or organically through the algorithm. If these users enjoy my content, they will continue to engage with my streams and VODs, providing constant feedback and boosting my visibility in the algorithm by just engaging with my content (they are classed as fans if they continue to engage in this way). These users may also choose to invest in my business by purchasing a commission from me, in which case they become clients, and their purchase feeds directly into my business. Finally, users who represent businesses may contact me for contracted working opportunities, which also feed directly into my business model.Â
In future, I can also look to boost my business model further by partnering with other streamers and content creators to boost each other’s content to our respective audiences. In addition, I could also consider supplying commissions free of charge to influencers with large audiences with the agreement that they will advertise my business in exchange.Â
