Robert’s Psychometric Test

Orchestra Team

Exactly like me

Very much like me

Kind of like me

A little bit like me

Not at all like me

The Conductor

The Conductor is the leader of the Orchestra, a role I often find myself filling even if I don’t always choose it for myself. I like to help others to perform at their best so it becomes quite a natural role for me.

The Whistler

The Whistler is a solo part and a focus of the performance, maybe I’m just a bit biased on this one as I found the sound somewhat annoying, but to me this role seems like one that is constantly having to do a lot of things to carry the team without being able to stand out on their own.

The Chorus

The Chorus supports the rest of the Orchestra and allows the individual roles to shine. A role that I think suits me well as I love to support others, to me this fits well with the Conductor and they’re very similar roles, except for the chorus not having responsibility for management.

The Wood Slapper

The Wood Slapper is in the background, performing a crucial solo role, but not one that people are often particularly interested in. Since I like my art to be seen, this is definitely not me.

The Oboe Guy

The Oboe Guy performs a critical role and is trying very hard (look at his face) to do so! This is fairly like me, but I wish I could be more like this. I often find myself putting more time into helping others than pursuing my own goals.

The Soprano

The Soprano is very much like the Oboe Guy, except that she needs to be able to also perform under the pressure of being a main focus and standing out from the crowd. Again, a role that I would like to perform, and one that I think I could perform, but often find that focusing on my own “act” is not as high on my list of priorities as helping others.

The Strings & Piano

The Strings and Piano are much like the Chorus in that they support the rest of the Orchestra. Again, my view on this one is the same as The Chorus, except that I feel the Strings and Piano have more of an interesting sound (in my opinion).

Final Thoughts:

I’d love to be more like The Oboe Guy, and The Soprano; but I’m pretty happy already with who I am.

My conclusion about these results is that I often end up being a leader (Conductor) but that I also like to be a supporting figure (Strings and Piano) and bring out the best in those around me. I chose the Oboe and Soprano as improvements because I feel that it would be interesting to develop my own skills more to shine and stand out on my own. But, ultimately, I’m happy to just support others and help them to live up to their best potential, whether that’s as a leader or a supporting voice.
